Maruti Suzuki announces winners of Cohort 7 of its Mobility & Automobile Innovation Lab (MAIL) Program

Maruti Suzuki Innovation recently hosted Demo Day for the Cohort 7 of the MAIL program. The event saw nine startups pitch their innovative solutions and offerings, bringing the total number of startups incubated by the program to 42 since its inception in Jan 2019. MAIL is an initiative by Maruti Suzuki to identify and bring together startups with innovative and cutting- edge solutions, to collaborate for open innovation in mobility and automobile space.

The startups graduating from the 7th cohort included the technologies Computer Vision, ADAS, AR/VR, Telematics, IOT, Robotics and cyber security. The top 5 winning Startups - Priva Sapien, Jidoka Technologies, Ravity, Road Bounce & Minion Labs will get the opportunity to conduct Paid PoC. The other startups which presented their pitch as a part of Cohort 7 were HelloAR, Doozy Robotics, Hone SHM, I'm Beside you.

These fields provide vast test beds to the startups to enhance and improvise their solutions, while simultaneously adding immense business value to Maruti Suzuki's operations.

Mr. Sanjay Mehta, Founder & Partner 100X.VC gave us an insightful session on the intricacies of the VC world. He is one among the renowned early stage Angel Investors, with the only one to have 4 unicorns under his belt. He built an amazing energy in the room while discussing on everything from ideas to funding to startups to entrepreneurs. He talked about his investment strategies, identification of the right startups & most importantly evaluation of the founding team. He guided the young startups on the journey from idea to scaling up and the do's and don'ts to be followed. His thoughts have been very motivating for all the attendees.
