The selected startups are chosen for their groundbreaking potential and granted exclusive mentorship from industry experts and Maruti Suzuki's top business minds. These startups gain access to real-world test beds and are assigned strategic use cases by Maruti Suzuki, fostering innovation and collaborative growth in the automotive landscape.

Our Program Structure
Call for Application
Startups are invited to Apply Online for the Maruti Suzuki Accelerator. Registration is done through the application form provided on the website.
Application Screening
Each application is meticulously evaluated on criteria such as technology, scalability, uniqueness, and viability. The jury comprises of MSIL Business Unit leaders and prominent figures from the startup ecosystem.
Cohort onboarding
A welcoming in-person kickoff meeting is conducted at the Maruti Suzuki Innovation Gym, marking the beginning of the journey for the new cohort.
Mentorship
Startups benefit from exceptional mentorship sessions led by both internal and external experts. These sessions are designed to refine and accelerate the startups Go-To-Market strategies.
Capacity Development
The program includes a thorough product assessment and roadmap optimization, to bolster the startup's growth and development
Innovation Day
Startups are given the opportunity to showcase their solutions in a boardroom setting, demonstrating their capabilities directly to the Managing Director and Business Unit Leaders at MSIL.
MSIL funded POC
Based on the discretion of the business units, selected startups are granted a Proof of Concept (POC) that is funded by MSIL, providing a significant boost to their development process.
Winner Gratification
The winning startups are rewarded with an MSIL funded POC, a Maruti Suzuki car, cash grants, and a networking visit to Japan recognizing their innovation and potential.
Alumni Engagement
The program continues to support its alumni by offering benefits such as cloud access, invitations to mixers, VC roundtables, and participation in the annual Startup Connect event.

The program supports startups that align with Maruti Suzuki’s mission to be the first mover in bringing a positive rapid growth to the automobile space in India as well as across the globe.
Who can apply for Maruti Suzuki Accelerator?
Any startup with ideas that are innovative and cost-effective can apply for the Maruti Suzuki Accelerator. However, the applications go through a screening process and the ones that best fit the bill are shortlisted. Refer to the Our Program Structure section for more details.
How long is the program?
The duration of program is approximately 4 months.
How does the application process work?
The application process involves completing an online form on the Maruti Suzuki Innovation website, where you detail your product, market, team, business model, traction, and roadmap. You may also describe a potential use case with Maruti Suzuki. After submission, the innovation team reviews your application.
What stage should the startup be to apply to Maruti Suzuki Accelerator ?
Maruti Suzuki Accelerator prefers to engage with startups that have gone past the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) stage with a few customers already using the product. It has also engaged with startups that have gone past Product-Market fit.
How detailed should my application be?
Your application should encapsulate a comprehensive business plan, articulating your business concept and market potential with clarity and precision to ensure it is accessible to those unfamiliar with your work. As evaluators with a penchant for data-driven insights, we base our decisions on growth KPIs and the depth of information presented in your application form, pitch deck, and supplementary videos.
When will I get reply?
The shortlisted candidates will be contacted once the applications are opened for the next Cohort.
Can we still apply if we have received prior funding?
Yes, of course. Please include details regarding past rounds of financing in your application.
Do you only foster automobile startups?
No. Maruti Suzuki Accelerator also supports startups with technologies, solutions or services that might be used in mobility & automobile space. Please mention in your application, on how you think your startup could contribute to this area.
Can I re-apply for the future cohorts if not selected in a single cohort?
Yes, of course. Please include details regarding past rounds of participation into your application.
Can a not-for-profit startup apply?
Yes, of course. Please mention in your application, how your startup can create a significant social impact.
What is the cost of joining Maruti Suzuki Accelerator?
For Startups, participation in Maruti Suzuki Accelerator is free. Maruti Suzuki does not take any equity from the ventures, which are part of this program.
